Dr. Marc Elkowitz is the founder of Plastic Surgery of New York and has been instilling the practice with his unparalleled expertise for over 20 years. By consistently generating beautiful outcomes for his dedicated client base, Dr. Elkowitz has directed the successful and exponential growth of the practice from its beginnings.
Now, at Plastic Surgery of New York, Dr. Elkowitz specializes in all aspects of facial rejuvenation, including the eyes, face, nose, neck and lips. He delivers unmatched results in procedures for breast, tummy and body and is particularly adept at creating strategies that combine complementary facial and body procedures. Dr. Elkowitz’s medical career began earlier than most; as an incredibly promising student he was accepted into medical school directly from high school. He graduated from the highly competitive 7-year combined accelerated Medical B.S./M.D. program at Union College and Albany Medical College, which only 20 students per year attend. He then pursued 5 years of General Surgery training including a chief residency at New York Medical College and completed his chief residency in Plastic Surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Elkowitz is double board certified in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery by The American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Plastic Surgery, respectively. He has also recertified in both as part of an ongoing Maintenance of Certification Program. Dr. Elkowitz is also the current Chairman of Plastic Surgery at multiple New York State hospitals. One of his proudest achievements is his position of Honorary New York City Police Surgeon, which gives him the opportunity to care for police officers and their families. He has also been recognized by Castle Connolly as a Top Doctor in Plastic Surgery, and Top Doctors in The Nation, and featured by them in local and national news papers.
